cleaning boat cover

has anyone cleaned black mold off their boat cover? what did you use? how did it turn out. Im going to power wash mine. anybody?

thats a good question, mine isnt moldy but i would like to wash it without damage to the fabric or water proofness

I took mine down to the local laundry mat and ran it through the industrial sized washing machine. Then ran it through again this time with Nik Wax waterproofer. Cleaned and re-waterproofed when finished.

I have been told, simple green in a industrial washing machine works wonders...

I would like to get all of the dust built up on it. Is it OK to pressure wash on soft spray from a distance. My boat is indoors but gets heavy dust from wind into the barn

Won't work. My cover is incredibly dusty. I went point plank range with a pressure washer and it still took forever to clean it.

i always take mine to the car wash and cover it in simple green and power wash it on high... seems to work for me

My local dry cleaner cleaned mine for $25. Came back nice and clean, neatly folded in plastic.
