Well, I just put my '12 A22 up for sale on onlyinboards. I thought I had my boat sold, but a potential buyer just backed out purportedly due to some job issues. I'll update this thread when it sells. Should be a good test to see how the market's doing for used boats.

$25 for tons of national exposure and a presence on search engine results is a deal! I had great results last year with last years listing on OIB for my '11. I'll be curious to see how many people are buying this time of year.

A link would be handy so I don't have to manually search for it. I'd be interested to see how it goes for you as well...

From what I understand, the same thing except a '13 instead of the '12.

I'm leaning towards a recon A22 with the LS3. It just depends on what I can get out of my boat and what my dealer has available in terms of build slots when my boat sells.

While I can say I love white boats and that thing I sick. Axis is upping the BU price card in 2013. It's rediculous. What happened to the bar bones approach. It looks like the axis wake around here is getting tons more props for its shape compared to a Vlx. Pretty soon Bu will be making 2 luxury boats. I just don't get it. Sure they are listening to their dealerships and consumers, but if u want the entry level market you can't have premium prices.

Without a doubt huge improvements from 09 to the present. In 09-2010 I would have never told anyone to consider that boat. Even as a budget boat. It was a rattle trap. However I guess it took cash and upgrades to get that worked out. They have def moved up from a budget boat

Since they are adding so many options and adding a 7% price increase why not offer a wrap around windshield option. Right now that's te only sticking point for me

If I bought a brand new wake boat every year the locals would think I was running drugs in it! You must have a hell of a good relationship with the dealer & a wife that lets you run the show to the fullest Chatt! Haha

My dealer, Marine Outiffers, is freaking awesome. The owner, Joyce, is one of the nicest people I've ever met in my entire life. I definitely appreciate the support I get from them.

what are they using for pumps in the "high flow" ballast system? I'm curious to know the gph and how quickly it actually filled for you chatt. that steering wheel is awesome.

I think she is the one I ordered my 2012 sub kick panel from. Called me back in a timely manner & gave me a great deal.

All pumps in my boat are 1100gph's, and the fill and dump lines are all over 1 inch in diameter. Let me tell you, everything fills and dumps much much much faster than last years boat.
Old     (chattwake)      Join Date: Jan 2010       09-12-2012, 2:05 PM Reply
When you have 1100's in the rear, on top of the factory tanks, a center tank and a 950lb front sac, it's nice to have those big pumps.

What's crazy is that I had a purported buyer, who took up a month of my time and about a billion of my text messages, back out yesterday when he was supposed to get the boat on Sunday. Gotta love that. Haha oh well.

I have no idea why people make that a point of interest. I personally love the open window.
You know the guys that drive down the freeway in a convertible and leave the front windows up? I always ask myself, why have a convertible if you aren't going to roll the windows down.

There are two points people try to make bad out of it:
1. more wind (nope - not really)
2. colder in the winter. (You know... you're going out in a boat on the water and it's cold outside)

wow, seems like a lot of work for 38 hours. Between the paper work, stereo installation and selling...

Sweet looking boat.....You'll have no problem selling it.

Keith,

I typically use my boats a lot more, but I've got a 14month old baby girl and a 4 year old girl, and between 4 weddings, 3 bachelor parties, 2 week long beach vacations, being a parent w/ a toddler, catching up at work, travel for work, and all of my friends having boats, I just didn't put a lot of hours on this boat.

Oh well.

Got the boat out last weekend though, and put about 4 hours on it bar hopping and late night surfing, which was fun.

For me it's the spray. I ride through open water to get to a riding spot. Also on blown out days I surf. Both ocassions on a friends a22 a side windshield would have been money to kelp us dry from the spray. Especially on the surf segment into the wind or with the wicked 20 mph crosswind.

And one last reason. It looks like they forgot to add it. It just looks weird

That seems really high for a used Axis??? Am I missing something?? No I'll intentions just curious chatt...

Nope with all the options that spot on. Thats just where Axis has gone in price. Been taking the price increase out of MC's playbook.
Old     (chattwake)      Join Date: Jan 2010       09-12-2012, 6:32 PM Reply
It's the stereo, ls3 and z5 that drives up the price. The z5 is like 2k, the ls3 is like a 7k option, and the stereo is like $5k. Back all that out and you're down at 50k.

Is it expensive for an axis? Yes. However if you want to maximize the potential of this hull the ls3 is a must. The stereo and z5 are purely preference. I try to do a bunch of little things to my boats that make them desirable to the right buyer. Some won't care that the z5 matches and the trailer has custom clear led's. Some will. We will see what the market bears I guess. Trust me, however, when people price a 2013 with the ls3 my boat is going to look like a steal, even in the 60's. Price increases are what they are.

4 hours of bar hopping and that's the only picture you have? I don't believe it. At least 1 for every hour...

Nice boat, great details and options, I had NO idea an Axis could cost this much! GLWS...

Jack, thanks man! I would be below 60k with the factory stereo. In fairness, you can't exactly order an Axis from BU with 2 syn2's, a ws420, Rev 410's and a lot of 0gauge wire. Most people who bought a vandall edition boat with the small motor this year and a factory stereo probably paid high 50's.

Ok, understood, you always do "rack it" when it comes to the stereo gear!
