Rode the board and loved it. Took a little getting used to for me when put on edge. Have been ridding the parks board as of late so it was a completly different ride. I wish that the board came with the fins.

I had 12 people end up ridding the board. From very advanced to first time ridders. We all had a great time ridding it.

Thanks so much shaun. Pics still to come.

Will be in the mail tommrrow for Paul

Hey Shawn Murray, If you could, send me out the fins and when I get the board here in a few weeks I will attach them so the rest of the people on the list will have a choice to ride with or without fins. Thanks, Jim Barcliff

What Happened to the fins?

I don't think it had fins on it when it shipped out... WE had it it back in April and it was finless then.. I think I remeber someone above saying they put their own fins on for the ride.. I have 07 murray and it rides perfect for me with fins.. some of my riding buds have 07 as well and go finless and love it too..

I think shaun broke the fin off by hitting his dock when he rode the board before he sent it out

Hey, If the list above is the list everyone's going by, please skip by me. Its not that I don't want to ride the board, I'll be away for a few weeks and dont want to have the board delivered and sitting at the doorstep when someone else could be riding it.
Thanks

Jim, if the board is coming to NJ soon and it happens to go to you, can you let us know so we can get the crew together and ride it as well? Alex was on the list also and somehow got by passed. He was hoping it could ship in time for Wakefest and have it demo there. :-)

I just got back from camping, and the board was at my house waiting for me. My wife beat me home, and told me I had a package waiting for me. I asked her to open it and she did she seemed a little upset cause cause she thought I purchased a new board. Then I remembered that I was next on the list for the board. I'm going to get the board out Sunday morning with some friend's to give this board a shot. I'll post up some pictures Sunday night or Monday morning along with my review of the board. I'll be sending the board to Greg Lavender Moundsville, WV on Monday.

Well I rode the board Sunday with a couple of friend's, and it was a little too big for me but still fun. I guess my best description of the board would be edges very well like mentioned above fast and very responsive. I ended up putting fins on from an 07 Murray that my buddy rides. My first pull I took the hardest spill I have taken all year, and was a little timid after that. Two other guys on the boat rode it fin less. I'm only 5,11" 165lbs I really wish I would I have gotten the 140, but I'm very happy about being a part of this, and would definitely do it again. I have been riding an 05 Parks 140 for a few years now, and have gotten so accustom to this board that every board I have ridden just doesn't feel right. I'm sure it's me not the boards. Thank' Shaun for putting this together what a great idea. Oh yeah my buddy took some pics I'll get a hold of him to see if he'll post them up. Greg the board is being shipped today.

OK, so let me first thank Shaun Murray for this awesome idea of payitforward demos. I was honored to be part of this ordeal.

I took the board and a couple of guys from our NJRIDERS group out on the Deleware river out of Bordentown NJ (home of the annual NJ WAKEFEST) for 2 days of good weather and great water conditions. For me the board was fast and light on the water but I never got comfortable enough to charge the wake hard.If I had the board for a few weeks I'm sure I would get use to it.Any way 4 of us rode the board and had fun doing so.Riders were Ken,Chris N, Chris B and myself. Below are a couple of shots of us with the board.I'm in the red shorts.

Patrick, I shipped the board today via UPS and you will get it on Tuesday.Upload

Finishing up with our couple of days with it. I loved the board! Tracked real well, good pop and solid landings. My son thought I had my best session of all time so of course he believes I should run right out and buy one.

Looking at the journal that comes with the board I see that it has already made its way up the east coast, NE and OH so I'm thinking I'll send it up to MI. They ought to have at least a couple of weeks before the ice cover returns! Joe Crowley in Grand Rapids...

So you are all pry gonna hate me but I just received the board today and will ride it the next 2 but I have n o clue where to send it next... is there an updated list anywhere??? Im in MN so is there anyone else here that wants to check this deck out??? Also I saw some previous pictures the board had the center fins in... Have you guys just been putting in your own fins or did someone jack them along the way??? THANKS for the input on where to send it next! :-)
Old     (johnsvt)      Join Date: Dec 2006       08-22-2008, 8:14 PM Reply
I put fins in from my B-side for a friend of mine. I like the board with no fins.
Old     (lsukuntryboy)      Join Date: Jul 2007       08-23-2008, 8:56 AM Reply
it didnt have fins. but it still rides great without the fins. im used to the hyperlite state which is a super stable deck with fins. but i rode this murray without the fins and still felt like i was ridin mine when i was edging around and ridin flat. but when i tried to break it loose it was sooo easy to do and was loose as anything i have ever riden.

if no body else wants the board, can i get it again cause i got 3 guys that want to ride it that couldnt make it out when i had it in april or whatever. it was only like 65 degrees when i had it but they wussed out on me. but if there is anyone else who hasnt haf it send it to them cause i will still be ridin till october or november.

well if no one else answers this ill send the board to nick next unless i get any takers.. Had the board out shortly today and was not expecting much.... funnest ride I have EVER had on a new board!!!!!!! Gonna try it a few more then send it. To bad it costs like $600. Hyperlite makes some good stuff but there gonna take themsleves out of the market with what they charge for stuff.
