Is there any other action sport that can generate as much self propelled amplitude as wakeboarding?

(Air Chair doesn't count.... come on)

might get flamed here but, imo i dont think the "ollie" should be used in terms with any other sport than its roots of skateboarding. my reasoning, because the true art of the ollie comes from the pop and lift of the feet. no bindings etc.. just straight up using your feet and the board. ill throw wakeskating in there too.

you get the point, i mean i will never win this one but hey its better than arguing about wakesurfing vrs wakeboarding. lol.

and to answer the question so of the biggest ollies i have seen are on wakeboards, you have a couple things in your favor, line tension and force of the water when you push down to almost make it like a small lip. even i got some hops behind the boat.

i agree with bryan.
its not a true ollie because bindings are involved. its more of a bunny hop, hahaha

the ollie is completely legit in snowboarding and wakeboarding. There all the same. they all use the pop from the nose or tail to propel the rest of the board into the air. The ollie started in skateboarding but due to the natural progression of later board sports where everyone was copying skateboarding i think it is safe to say that as long as your poppin' off your tail on a wakeboard or snowboard it is still considered an ollie!

search for a guy named danny wainright outta europe...has one of the meanest ollies in skateboarding. as for wakeboarding generating the most amplitude...I dont' know. . . but when the boards strapped to ur feet i don't know if i'd compare.
