Those of you that have swivel seats for your boat, are you still able to move the seat back and fourth like a car to be closer to the steering wheel. My current seat is on rails to go back and fourth which is fine but sometimes it would be reall nice if it swivelled as well. I wasn't sure if you are able to have the best of both worlds.

Any ideas on where you can get the base plate or mounting hardware from. I have done some searching but I am still looking.

Tige's will swivel and adjust forward/back. Shouldn't have too much trouble finding a seat base in the aftermarket.

I so wish that adding a swivel seat mount on my 2001 SAN was a straightforward mod. So do want...

CCs have them but only can swivle if the Throttle is Wide Open. Obviously it can only be swivled when the boat is off. I like that safety feature since a friends Malibu swivles anytime and he likes driving while sitting sideways. Driving sitting sideways doesn't make me comfortable.

Noti Dad,

That's not true about all CC's. I have an 05 226 and my seat swivels without touching the throttle at all. The only thing is the seat has to be slid ALL the way foward toward the steering wheel before pivoting. Little trick the shop guy showed me.

My 90 Supra does both as well. Come to think of it I am pretty sure even my old 83 Supra had a seat that swiveled and slid back and forth.

Aluminum and stainless on that base...nice. The standard metal bracket rusts easily.

My Malibu is mounted to a fiberglass box that is slightly raised, I don't know if I would use the swivel function but wouldn't it be great if it could raise and lower the seat 2-3 inches into that box.

Got on Garlick's site and couldn't figure out which part to order so I emailed them. Pretty straight forward question. Gave them my boat model and year and they didn't understand the question. Nice. Guess I'll look somewhere else.
