so right now im on a 2008 ronix mana and dont really like it. it feels to locked in or something i cant quite figure it out. so now i wanna start taking the tricks into the flats and from what ive read on here the lyman seems to be a good choice. does that sound right? i can get one for $175
just wanna know if anyone could give input on this. and i figure the lyman will be much different than my current board
Yeah bro get the Lyman! Its pretty loose when you are riding it flat but whenever you edge in for a hard cut it really just speeds towards the wake for that huge pop. Also, dont let anyone tell you that it doesnt give you good straight up pop. Lots of people think that just because its a super fast board means that its only going to pop you out. It really pops you either straight up, OR when you edge in really hard it pops UP & OUT. you can watch my videos and watch my pop, i probably do more just wake to wake rather than in the flats but when i take it in the flats it takes me really far out and it feels like it just eases down on the landings. i can answer any more questions you have about the Lyman

you cant really go wrong with a lyman, loose in neutral, locked in when on edge. I personally like the S4 more for that style of board but Lyman is a good choice
How does the lyman compare to the shane? I have a 04' Subjekt and I'm looking to upgrade. Might have to go with a recoil. I like my response, but it doesnt have the up pop that I want.

How much difference is there between the S4 and the Lyman? Major bonus of the S4 is the Limited has a GrindBase, I don't think there's an option for that on the Ly is there?
