I am posting here because I have had about 5 requests from fellow ww’ers for a pull on the new Marius and/or a comparison to my ’06 Marius. I will be on the water on Sunday morning and will check back with an update.
…only problem now is that my “CIE Approved” sticker is stuck to the old Marius!

Are all CWB's made in the USA? Just asking because my faction is too..

No not all CWB's are made in the USA. Faction and up thru the proline levels are American made. Hyperlite is starting to do that (Finally) with their top end boards. Right now it's just the D.I.N.E series....so Murray (my board) Sub VI and the 09 Marek are US made boards as well. Slingshot boards are US made too. But for the industry..thats about it. Most are made in china...Hyperlites low end is made in Taiwan and LF is made in United Emirates blah de blah de blah blah.

I am still tyring to figure out how to mount my bindings on the new one... (cant tell which side is supposed to be the front... I know it does not really matter)

the red is the front

Mount them so after you drop that handle and you're waiting for the boat to come back, the people in the boat can read what the bottom says right side up. And BTW, Tim owes you $5, he lasted all the way until Thursday night with no extra ballast. Then of course, after my mid afternoon surf session he couldn't stand it any longer and dropped all the sacks to the floor so he could ride.

I float on the board now... so it won't matter! JK
I think that was what confused me actually, if I have the red on the leading edge I think the text on the bottom will be upside down.

I knew I would win that bet!!! Thanks for keeping him honest. Can he come play on Tuesday morning on my boat or is he restricted from all boatig related activities after a week on the water?

He's going back to work this week, so I'm not sure when he'll get his riding in.

Attila, I wanted to take my boat out early Tuesday. When and where are you riding and how many peeps you got?

Your new board matches my boat perfectly! Nice.

My first impression of the board is great. It did not take much to get used to the new characteristics of the board as the major characteristics remain the unchanged. It is still a wide, stable, forgiving platform with predictable pop and buttery soft landings. Where I noticed the biggest difference is the quick release off the wake. The first couple of times that I didn’t cut all the way through the wake it broke loose and came off the wake quicker than expected. Once I figured that out and cut all the way through the wake it rewarded me with a crisp quick release, and perhaps more hang time. The biggest reward of the new shape is the reduced drag and the resulting net increase in speed. Because of the reduced drag it feels like someone unhitched the trailer on this thing. I love this new shape!

Tate also road my board and perhaps provide some additional perspective.

Right on, Attila.

Hey, come on down and ride the crusher with us one of these days. We'll get you some stickers for the new ride.

I would agree with Attila. Quicker, more loose, yet very similiar feeling to the 07. We both ride this board finless. I ride a platty so I can't speak to the pop. Would love to ride a platty version so I can compare apples to apples.
