where to get ......

Where do you guys get the Line-a-Bed in gallons?
Where is a good place to get MDF board and plexiglass? Resin?

Not sure what that stuff is called, but its metal with raised lines (usually found on trailers) maybe Diamond plating????

MDF, and resin/hardener you can find at any hardware store (Home Depot)mayeb even the bed-liner stuff. I know you can buy it there in the spray cans. Diamond platinging.....maybe a truck accessory place???? what are you making?

Not that it’s not a good idea to build your own box. If you want a square or simple box, I say do it yourself. It sounds like your going to do things a little more custom. Here’s my reasoning why I let the pro’s do it. #1 how many custom boxes have you built? #2 most of the time they have the tools/supplies readily available (table saw, jig saw, router, blades to cut different materials) it can be done with other tools just easier with the right ones. #3 The time it will take you to track down some of your materials could take a while. #4 The only real cost you have is the builders labor cost. If you build the box wrong, the sub sounds like doo-doo or could break, crack apart. If anything like that happens take back to builder. What your paying a qualified person to build a box your not only paying for his building skills but his expertise and knowledge of what his seen in his/her “x” number of years of installing/building. Just my opinion.

While I do agree with you to a point Adam, but the pro's were newbies once too. Besides, I can always have a pro do it if it sounds like doo-doo afterwards anyhow.

just make sure you have the correct air volume for the sub you are using. and use glue/silicone on all seams/edges. it wont sound like doo-doo.

If you want different shape, Google it. they can cut it before they send it to you. IMO the easiest way to get the right shape and size. i'm sure theres other places to get it too.

Gotta agree here, 3/4 and up depending on the sub. Just didn't want someone making a 3/16" sub box.

I think it is the third dimention. The top of the box would be 3 inches the bottom would be 16 inches and make the trapizoid shape like this:

You could use as thick wood as you want and the dimentions could be the same 12"x12"x3"top and 16" bottom.

Or it could be the size of the plexi glass?

I found a website that has sheets of diamond plate in many different available sizes. They charge 39.60 for polished aluminum 2ftx4ft sheet.
