I am wondering if anyone has used the older Rockford Fosgate punch 301s amp. A buddy of mine is looking to sell this amp, two older kicker comp subs, and a box and capacitor. I am trying to figure out if it is worth buying or if the amp is decent. Anyone ever used one?

I am running some 6.5's off of a Rockford 300 watt two channel amp, but I use a kicker 750.1 for my sub. It pushes small speakers fine. Subs will just be hungry for more power in my opinion.

It says it rated at 150 rms x2 so I figured it would do fine with a couple of mild 12's. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with heat issues or failures on boats with it.

The 301s amp is one of Rockford's better amps before they sold out to Best Buy.
