Worst Injury While Boarding....

So last Thursday I got hung up on a Mobydick. Came down flat on my side and Broke 2 Ribs and Fractured and brused 2 more. So my season just came to a quick end. Whats the worst injuries some of you have sustained while riding.

Other injuries I have had from riding...
Broken Jaw, Fractured Arm, lots of broken ribs over the years, Broken Ear Drum, Multiple concussions, Separated Shoulder, Minor knee injuries, and hip and ankle problems...

broken noses...3 now...all from compression when landing double ups, leading to a knee to the face

This probably doesn't really count on a thread like this but I did a crazy faceplant doing a surface 180 and came up out of the water with a cut on my face just from the force of the water. The guys came around in the boat and I was ready to get back up and they were all.. um your face is bleeding. Pretty awesome. I look like a pretty tough girl.

Paralysis of both the upper and lower limbs could possibly be a fate worse than death in my book.

Worst thread ever!!!! I really don't want to hear that!!! I just ended my season with a ankle injury and don't want to know how often riders are injured!!!! :-(

Cuncussion, torn rotator cuff, knocked out cold, temporary amnesia for 4 hrs, and I now have epilepsy from the head trauma and I'm on anti-seizure medication (all from 1 fall).

At least your "quick" end to the season came after Labor Day. Sprained my left foot fathers day. Out five weeks. Second jump of first set and I wrecked the same way and tore two ligaments in my right foot. So aside from one jump in July my season ended a little over three months ago.

Damn Jason. Just damn. And yours is pretty tough for a guy or girl Shannon.

Edit: Partialy torn ligaments. No surgery. Could be worse.

My bad fall was 5 or 6 years ago, its not like it was a recent injury. The only thing that still lingers is the occasional seizure in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping and the fact that I can't throw a baseball anymore because of my rotator cuff. I came down short on a raley and just dug my entire TS edge in and took a picture perfect digger. I dont' remember really what happened.

hmmm, that railey seems to get further and further out of reach for me when i hear stories like this. only attempted the "superman" 3 times. each one has resulted in the worst pain ever, but no broken _____ or torn _____ on any of them. I went to the massage therapist and chiropractor the next day for the first time in my life. the massage therapist said my muscles were about as tense and knotted as a car crash victim's (seat-belted in i am assuming)... her worst/ most tweaked patients she gets.

other than this, just a tweaked knee here and there and maybe a bloody nose, or smacking my elbow with the edge of the board on back-scratchers.

Broken ankle uncovering the boat! Pole was propped up on the seat, stepped on it, ankle rolled and SNAP. Other than that no big wakeboarding injuries so far.

i tore my acl and mcl, bruised both the bones, and fractured a piece off from just one big jump in a little rough water

Bruised Lung and a pocket of blood in my left lung... coughed up blood for nearly 4 weeks. Doc said it might collapse if I feel again. Was out a month :-(

I got my arm caught in the handle the other day. Got lucky the rotation was unwinding me so arm just straightened out but its been 2 weeks and is still super sore. Only stopped my riding for 2 days though.

wrapped up with the handle, fell and my hand went through the handle and planted in 2 ft of clay/mud (we were hitting rails close to a bank thats why it was so shallow) long story short boat kept going and my wrist snapped. Looked like i had a baseball sticking out of my wrist. Wish I had pics. That was actually worse than the 3 concussions ive had. Why? because like most I dont remember the concussions hahah.

Ruptured Bicep tendon, Separated AC, Perferated ear drums, bunch of stitches in the chin multiple times... My knees hurt bad after 15yrs, and lower back.. But I'm alive and eagerly waiting next season...

Cased a TS 180 and earned myself a broken fibula, titanium plate, and a bunch of screws.

But yeah cant wait for next season, actually going to Florida end of OCtober once the ribs are healed so I can Ride the new Tampa Cable park. Yeah BOyyyyeeeee
