I am looking to getting a video camera and do not know what I am looking for at all. If anyone could give me info on anything or model recommendations that would be awesome. Thanks-

all pretty much top of the line dv cameras

depends on what you're going to use it for. just shooting wakeboarding? making shooting a career? family videos or what? prosumer cameras are great, but price can be steep and not really worth it if you are only using it for personal reasons and dont know anything about cameras or shooting, i would go with a higher end consumer camera (around 1k$ or less). it all depends though...

I am looking to shoot a lot of wakeboarding, but also use if for whatever. I def want a consumer camera. Hobby, not career.
