Dustin's feedback thread has inspired me to come out of my own shell a bit. Here's a few 'walkaround' shots from a few nights ago when the wife and I were out. I still don't feel like I've shot anything great with the new D90. I've been bored and uninspired, but doing this might get me going in the right direction.
1: BOOOOring. what is the point? What about the picture is supposed to move me? 2: I like the Bokeh 3: Tree in the way and the power line. 4: It's a light...nothing more.
1. Didn't like it either. Someone else did for the reflections. 2. yeah 3. Stupid cable. Part of shooting with the 50 is learning to move around. I guess this is how you learn. 4. They all are.
Thanks. I've been buried in manuals trying to learn the camera and my SB600 and a few other things. Technical stuff on the brain. I decided to bump all the gear and go with the 50mm and no flash to think about what I see instead of gear to fiddle with. I guess the lights stood out to me.
I can't add much to the crits but props for putting your balls on the block. I know it's like getting kicked in the teeth but in the long run it will make you a better photog.
