Diamond Lakes water sports is a local proshop and they come out to all the INT events, so i made friends with them and finished 2nd in wakeboard and skate last year so i called them up and they gave me a deal. and while i was working a boat show for diamond lakes back in febuary, the Anarchy rep came up and we started talking and after i got a few referneces he gave me the hook up on some sunglasses. Someone once told me that getting sponsered is 30% skill and 70% personality. Most sponsers will take a good person with okay riding over a Good rider with a bad personality any day.

First of all, Caleb, how old were you in that, video? I have tried a double-up, but it was behind a ski boat(no tower or ballast) and i got only 3-4 feet high. I am yet to brave up and try it behind my dads wakesetter.

i was 14 in that video, im 15 now. your first few double ups are like playing chicken with a freight train, its just plain scary. But after you take a nasty fall or two and start getting the hang of them, they are one of the most fun things to do in the world. Myspace: search me on my email: calebr@tcworks.net my profile name is caleb gnar, hit me up (Message edited by dlwsrider on June 10, 2007)

cool, I'll try it next time, any technique on timing, it took me a couple tries to get it behind the ski boat. Also, i just turned 14 yesterday, and hope to do everything you did in that video by the end of this summer, any tips?

chris, haha, um lets see ill tell you everything i can think of. Tantrum:} seated edge, wait until you get ALL THE WAY up the wake, you will feel the wake wake trip you and as soon as you feel that, open up your arms and throw your head back, look for the water as soon as you get upside down and hold on tight. Toeside backroll: stand tall going into the wake, as soon as you feel yourself at the top of the wake, throw your head back and pull your knees to your chest, let go of the handle 3/4 of the way through and again, look for the water. backroll: stand tall with a short, proggressive edge into the wake, as soon as you feel the trip, throw your head towards the wake you just left and hold the handle in the middle of your waist THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH the trick, look for the water to spot your landing. scarecrow: edge in like you would for the toside backroll but crouched down a bit. as soon as you feel the wake trip you, throw your head forward like you would for a frontflip on the ground and pull the handle like your going to tuck it into your armpit. spot the water and stick it clean for me. frontroll:edge in like you would for the scare crow but when you release off the wake, push up with your shoulders like your trying to pop as high as you can while throwing your head into the motion of a frontflip, about half way through release the handle with your back hand and look for the water. Elephant: i have no idea what to tell you haha. I just Haul but in and lay it out really. frontside 360: what most people do wrong is they try and throw it to early. Wait a little bit after you pop and at the peak of your jump, twist your head followed by your shoulders and YANK the handle with your back hand to you small of your back. grab it with your other hand and spot the water to complete it. If you need anything else tell me man (Message edited by dlwsrider on June 10, 2007)

Dane, i have a deal were at the end of every season, at the end of each year, i trade in my old board and bindings for new equipment, they then sell my old equipment. If i want to keep my stuff from the previous year, i get a new board at cost (about 125, not bad). and everything else in the proshop i get at the wholesale price, which is generally half off. they also help pay for my entry fees to tournaments. and for anarchy, i get free sunglasses and stickers. its pretty gnar. some sponserships give you free equipment, but id say about 80% of sponsered riders get their gear at cost

Wow, thank you, that will help me a lot. When I tried the TS Frontroll, I didn't finish the total rotation and landed on my heels and fell backwards. Do you think if I pulled up on my shoulders to pop high I would be able to finish the rotation?

Chris, yes it will help. what you probably did is just threw yourself forward and didnt focus on popping. before you try it, take a few toeside wake to wake jumps and focus on taking the air as big as possible. after you do that, go in and repeat what you had been doing but after you leave the wake, throw yourself forward. if that doesnt help, try and land with the handle closer to your butt then your lead hip, by putting the handle behind you a little bit, it forces you onto your toeside edge, therefor helping you not slide out heelside and thanks dane i like it too lol
