Thats wierd that in all the 2005 brochures they have a X-45 not a X-40.

Neil,

What kind of work do you do for MC? Great score on the pics but what is an "Innamar Disel"?

Doesn't it say "Yanmar Diesel" on the side of that boat.... Not that I know what the Hell a Yanmar Diesel is....but that is how I read it....

Yeah, you read right. Yanmar's spiel:

"Yanmar Diesel is the nation's leading supplier of marine diesel engines for re-powering and new boat construction. Designed as marine engines from the start, Yanmar provides high performance, lightweight engines that are smooth running and fuel-efficient. Their durability makes them the best choice for pleasure boaters around the world."

But yeah, what is the X-40? Is that a step- through sunpad or is the engine hatch just not installed yet?

Please let it not be yet another fang-bow boat. But the picture sure looks like it...

There a walkthrough on an x-45, which was apparently called X-40 earlier: http://mymastercraft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2549#2549

I like the lights.What are you/they using.

From what I have seen on the MC website, is that the sundeck is a two piece with a walk through section in the middle.

How are you "designing a lighting system for the '05 boat line" when I have seven 2005s here and the model year started back in July?

The X40 (X45) clearly has sun pad installed as the center is a walk through...the same boat with updated graphics is in the brochure. It has the exact same "sun pad” installed.

How does the manufacturer feel about sub-contact labor posting prototype pictures on the internet?

Are you the man servant that used clean Tommy Lee’s house? What about Bret Michaels? I’m sure they appreciated it as well.

Zedz Dead I don't think any of the pictures that Neil posted show anything confidential at all. There's been pics of the X-45 all over this site and the Maristar pic only shows the exterior of the boat. He is allowed to show pictures of his lighting system because he is designing it. I don't see any harm done to MC by this post.

Zedz

I wondered the same thing I wonder what Dorton thinks?

"He is allowed to show pictures of his lighting system because he is designing it"

Oh really? Unless you've got a copy of the contract between he and MC how can you be so sure of what he's allowed to do. My apologies if you are privy to their agreement, otherwise you're making quite the assumption. Which is something I've never seen done on the internet before now.

So, does this mean that Mastercraft is coming out with a diesel engine?
Old     (ktm250)      Join Date: Jan 2003       09-10-2004, 1:31 PM Reply
Apparently...and it will have a neon lit (from the bottom) cooler!

I'm sure John is ecstatic! Crutchfield is probably the only one with a bigger smile on his face.

By the way Tommy Lee wants his tape back.

Kinda looks more like boat show display stuff than actual "05" production item. Very cool though.

zedz i would have to say you should believe neil he is the one who has posted in the past with his led light work. Dont start bashing until you know the absolute truth. Ask your self this. How did he get into the factory and take those pictures? Ummm maybe a tour or better yet he was working for them. Im not trying to rub anyone the wrong way. Im going with neil though. He lives here in dallas and i have heard nothing but the best about him.

Um, the X-40/45 is like the new X-Star was -- a lot of hype WAY before the boat will be ready. They've got some issues to work out, so Mastercraft is trying not to get too much attention put on it. There are hull/wake issues with the boat. Like the new X-star, I'm sure they'll get it figured out, but it will still be a while yet. Next year at least.

From what i was told by an MC dealer - every year MC buys in one of everything.. the flagship malibu, correct craft and supra etc.. they basically rip them apart and see whats new.
then they throw them in a skip cos thye are destroyed..

As a bu lover you owe it yourself to "rescue" the boa tin some kind of clandestine undercover mission before it hits the shredder

On the X40.. i heard the same about the X star.. there were big problems with the hull.. the first few had to be shredded as they weren't right... I guess perfection takes time

The 45 reffers to the fact that its 24.5 feet maybe they added six inches in the tweaking. And I hope that diesel comes out soon more pounds=less sacks

You put pictures like these on the net and think that MasterCraft is ok with it?.... Wake up Alice.... you are in wonderland!!!!! oh well.... live and LEARN!

Looks like you aren't as bright as your LED's

First off I wasent taking any spy photos. Second everyone there new I was taking pictures. Third its not like im releasing any new information to the world. Fourth when I found out what they were using the malibu for i was very impressed. And last but not least after spending some time at the mastercraft plant I realized why they were the best at what they do and If I had the money I would place an order for an 05' X2 with out any question.

so hows the lighting coming on? when you say 05 boat line lighting.. is this for release later this year to the public? or just for boat shows?

The ice box looks awesome, are you lighting up the storage compartments too??

What exactly were they using the Malibu for anyway? I'm curious...

MasterCraft buys the competitions products to see what they are doing and how. They will cut them up to see how they are built. Great strategy if you have the cash!
