Hey I completely blew up 1 of my kicker 6x9's, my box holds four and since it's a 2 year old model mean I most likely will have to repolace all four so,......what do you guys recommend? (next set will come from Best Buy so if they blow I can return them...)

Polks are nice, and marine rated. They are on the heavy side. They have awesome tweeters and I can hear them behind the boat. They handle more power than most.

if you want it "very loud" 6x9's are not going to cut it. You have to go to a pro-audio setup with a Horn to achive the results you're looking for.

ok , ok not horn loud but very loud in the 6x9 size, basically I don't want a pair that are cheap but look good, I want some that get the job done.

The kickers I have are very loud but one blew so it makes me question if I can get a good set that can handle a little more power?

You will get 100 different answers to your question, but IMO I really like the audiobahn marine 6x9's with horn tweeters. I have 4 of them and I really like how loud they are and how nice they sound.

I just replaced my polk ds690s with poineer 6981s. The polks sounded great but the pioneers are definately louder. My 2cents

another vote for pioneer 5 way 6x9's. push them with the right amp and you'll definately be able to hear them behind the boat. there no horn but they sound awsome!! btw if you search the web real good you can most likely find them for somewhere around $79 a pair. honestly for how good they sound i doubt you can beat that.
