ts off axis 180? doesnt look like he is spinning like a worm because he isnt throwing his left shoulder and arm around. definately looks ts and looks like a ts raley, but like he is going to pull it down heelside. kyle schmidt does this trick a lot. looks like kyle's ts off axis 180.

Barry---did you get any good pics Of Drew D. wakesurfin???

No one rips like Drew does on a wakesurf! (and have you seen the kids skim??) there is a new video that on our website and he is tearin' it UP!

btw..whatever that trick is, it looks painful!

A flailed TS Raley. Or a Tantrum to Fakie.
Old     (deepstructure)      Join Date: Jun 2002       05-18-2004, 7:13 PM Reply
i wouldn't say this is ts at all. it looks like the tantrum/bs spin tricks chris williams does, where you take off a bit like a tantrum but rotate backside.

except his binding placement on the board does look like he rides goofy, which (if it isn't switch), would make it a ts trick...

whirlybird or s-bend?
barry
do you have the sequence to this trick?
Old     (skydog96)      Join Date: Mar 2002       05-19-2004, 6:24 PM Reply
pretty simple guys. its somebody maybe gator riding either randys or gators personal board and the rider is doing a startgazed krypt. if hes right foot forward then hes doing a messed up toeside raley and gonna hit the back of his head hard. he obviously missed the pop and had to much weight on his back foot off the lip. correct me if im wrong.
Old     (malibuboarder75)      Join Date: Jan 2004       05-19-2004, 6:59 PM Reply
guys, i dont think it is a s-bend or whirlybird. he isnt throwing his shoulder into enough. his head would be turned the other way. he wouldnt be looking at the shore.

I'm going with a stargazed (really really stargazed) raley. Heelside.

Rope would be in the other hand for a whirlybird I think. The rope is in his back hand.

Skydog, its not Gator its Sung Jun Park.

I agree with bill, Barry whats the deal?

Crow.

Wait a minute, look at the angle of the rope. It's shopped!

I think Barry is testing the internet audience to see how long it would take for someone to call "Photo Shop" on a real pic.

Tell him what he won Johnny..."An all expenses paid film shoot with Barry Vaught" <appplause>

Old    dertbiker2000            05-24-2004, 9:54 PM Reply
yep its photo shopped, i am very wary bout saying it, but the torso does not line up,
the torso is sideways while the legs are completely forward and so the torso should be face up with his back completely facing the water
dunno... was perdy triky tho
cheers trav
barry am i right or am i right!!!

Thanks for your patience and to all who posted.

I just returned from Pennsylvania.

I posted this unaltered photograph of Sung Jun Park, because I have never seen anyone else have this much rotation in their body, while airborne. Sung Jun has rotated his head almost 180 degrees from the angle of his feet . Try to do that on the ground. I can not even come close, can you?

The whirlybirds win with 4 votes
stargazed raley & s-bend = 2
big wurm,ts off-axis 180, ts raley,tantrun to fakie,tantrum/bs spin,stargazed krypt,911=1each

Cheers
Barry

why does everyone assume that every pic posted on this site is photoshopped? I don't think I've seen a thread with pics where there wasn't one acusation to one of the pics being photoshopped. Sometimes pics are just that good and riders are that talented. Just a random observation...
Old     (mossy44)      Join Date: Oct 2001       05-28-2004, 6:41 AM Reply
are you saying the whirlybird is the correct answer?
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       05-28-2004, 7:02 AM Reply
What?? So it's a whirly because it got the most votes?
