What value would you put on a '95 super sport that is in awesome condition(interior and exterior), 200 hours, with a tandem axle trailer, but no tower, no ballast and no Perfect pass.

To add everything I'll need It will probably cost around $3000 - Perfect pass (1000) Ballast (500) Tower (1000) plus $500 to ship it here.

Whadda think?

we got a 95' SS 3.5 years ago
200hrs
perfect in and out
2x trailer
.... exactly like you're describing and we paid 18k... that was a while ago, with a better economy, so yeah, today I bet the same boat would sell for tops 15k

13-15k sounds like a steal. I would have guessed with a tandem low hours and in great shape it would be 18-20. If you can get it that cheap you better quit posting about it and buy it.

I wouldn't post about it if I hadn't bought it yet. I'm just wondering how good of a deal I got. Thanks for the input guys.

I talked to the ebay guy and the reserve was $20K... a little steep for me!

I've been searching for these for a long time. I have a search tool that searches every craigslist across the country and I've never seen one for that price. I wish I could find a SS for 13-15, but haven't seen any out there. I did get lucky with mine..00 super air with crap upholstery...and a big project for $16k and I had an agreement and a deposit check on the way the next day. If you can find em for that price then post em up.

Rob, How can I create a search similar to the one you are talking about on craigslist?

If people are letting go of Super Sports for 13-15k, we've entered a brave new world.

I don't think 13-15k Super Sports are commonplace yet. This is a very valuable boat, with considerable (and reasonably so) resale value.

If people are letting them go at 13k, its a fire sale. People selling them at that price should be talked down from the position. It's like the stock market... sell now - take a beating. Hold and the value will come back up.

20k for a Super Sport with 200hrs is only about 2k more than I'd spend, and I'm ultra cheap when it comes to this kind of thing - so he was about spot on with the reserve.

13-15k. Pah. Guys seriously.

Erik, have you seen the prices of boats lately? There are 2 people on here recently that have bought 2000-2001 SAN's for 20 or under. They needed some work but 5 or 6 years newer and already have towers and ballast.

No doubt it's a buyers market.

I saw that 2001 SAN that someone on here bought - is it the one that looks like it started its life as a camp, then owned by a fraternity, then by a group of rabid wolves? The one with the duct tape? Yes that one was probably appropriate at 20k.

That tempest aggregator lists current prices on eBay not *sold* prices.
