Fill bow ballast for sure and play with the wedge settings from there. Try about 9.5-10mph.

front mid and left/or right. But everyoe on the surf side also. Then play with the wedge.

By best VLX surf wake was with an additional 400 in the back. 400 on the seat under the tower and a 150 in the front. And, no wedge.

Jonathan
everyone will answer diff on this one
don't forget, the water depth will also effect the wake

we use:
front full
mid half full
surf side rear full

4 pop bags in bow.....2 in each side pocket...40lbs each
50 pound anchor in bow on surf side

4 pop bags plus 40 pound anchor on rear seat surf side

750 bag in surf side trunk as full as can get it

that's with wife driving and 2 80 pound kids on surf side seats

this time wedge was all the way down
normally highest position works best

not sure why it didn't yesterday

10.4 mph

25 feet deep at that part of the lake

sometimes we will add another bag along side bench
400lbs

we don't get as good a wake with mid tank completely full......

I dont have bow ballast.

center full
left rear full
700 lb sack in rear locker
450 on left side bench
450 in bow on left side
wedge deployed
3 adults 3 kids
9.3 mph

rub rail is level with water when going

It is going to take lots of weight to make the malibu wake what you want it to be for surfing.

will post pics later. wakeoutlaws has a great tutorial.
