I looked at this boat yesterday with 475 hrs on it and in really good shape. The interior is nice and has a cd player and 12" sub that sounds nice. It's close to my house and listed at $6900. Any thoughts? Good deal? Too small? This would be my first boat, and I want to add a tower and try wakeboarding. Upload

the only bad thing about those is that you can't add much ballast but if that's not something you're planning on doing then I'd say you found yourself a decent ride

I've heard of people being happy with the Comp as a wake-only boat, and I have heard of people putting weight in them, but you have to be careful. Personally I would keep looking for the SunSport.

check the floors and stringers. open bow makes a big difference.

I think the main problem they have with adding ballast in those boats is swamping (water coming up over the bow)

They throw a great wake with a 350 # bag on each side of the motor and 160-200 # in the bow and stern

learned to run the bouys behind one of those

great for that
dont know about weighting it down

I too would check under the floor before I bought it

.... Supra disappeared for awhile because of the wooden stringers

a comparable boat would be the Malibu 190 or 205 DD

If you ride in calm water all the time, it should be great as they do throw a nice wake with some weight.
But if you like to take a few friends & booze cruise when it's less than ideal conditions out, you run the risk of swamping the boat. Both the bow & the transom is really low, even compared to an older Prostar or Response.

It may not be great for wakeboarding without adding some weight.....but overall this was my favorite boat for rounding the bouys back in the day. I would love to have one just to play around with. Good luck in your search.
