Nice, post up some video from that bad boy on Vimeo when you get a chance. Stick a full rez file there, I'd like to see how it looks!

I'll be taking my time on the way in to the office this morning looking for something to shoot and play with video mode.

But...oh, the pressure! There should have been a more worthy guinea pig

Too bad you didn't get the SB 900
Been hearing a lot of amazing things about it from Joe McNally.

Forgive me for lagging. I left for the office on Monday and forgot to grab my SD cards!! Yesterday I was just too busy but I did spend the evening with the camera and the manual learning my way around. The interface on the D90 is so different than the D40X that it's basically learning an entirely new system. I can already tell that I'm going to like making adjustments with button and dials rather than menu navigation. On top of learning the camera, I've been trying to get a good handle on the flash, i-TTL and commander mode, etc.

So...I've got a big learning curve to get over before I actually shoot anything. Right now I'm just sitting on the couch pressing buttons and shooting my feet and whatever else is right in front of me. Real stuff to follow.

I just dropped a quick vid from the Squirrel Jam into Vimeo. Shooting video with the D90 is definately a challenge. This is only a few seconds and nothing spectacular, but it's really the first thing I've recorded that's watchable.

Your pan shot from the Squirrel jam was pretty nice Nate.

Shoot me a e-mail when you get a minute.
