There have been a ton of amazing stereo installs on here and I have loved reading all of them. Here is my small contribution. I have a 226 Nautique and have enjoyed it for the last 5 seasons but this year called for some overhaul After hours of reading I went with Wetsounds, Earmark Marine, and my dealer Green House Marine for their commitment to our industry and their unsurpassed customer service! (BTW I am in no way affiliated).

I went with...

Alpine F6 for interior
Alpine F6 for tower
Alpine M6 for Sub

JL 12W6v2 (1) In a sealed inclosure (I built it to JL's specs)

Wetsounds REV 8's for the tower

Wetsounds XS650's for the interior

A Ton of new wire and a lot of solder!!! Not to mention more then a few beers!

While completing the process I steam cleaned the carpets and replaced a lot of the hardware with stainless steel.

I installed one of the amps under the glove box on a piece of 5/8" glassed ply that I sprayed black to blend in and then used 5200 and stainless hardware to secure it.

We use almost 100% iPhone music just for ease of use and so I installed a digital out that charges and takes the audio out of the bottom of the phone that is hard wired to the dash and soldered in.

All of the ground and power wires were soldered via "Grant West's" totorial and the results are amazing! Thanks Grant for the great video BTW!

I also soldered all of the speaker connections... kind of got solder happy!

The JL has 8 gauge wire run to it and all of the amps have their own 4 gauge JL wire for +/-

This thing fits my needs and absolutely rocks!!!!!!
