I have been riding various models of the Liquid Force Trip 143 ever since they came out. I was wondering about the Omega 143 and if anyone had any comments about how it rides in relation to the trip. Any thoughts? Your input is greatly appreciated!

You will love the Omega.....It really is nice....i still love mine....too bad you want that size because i would sell you my 135 to ya. It is a really smooth riding board. I definitely reccomend you get the Omega.

thanks for the advice. Have you ridden a trip and can you offer any comments on the difference?

i haven't ridden the Omega, but judging by the fin configuration it'll probably be looser than the Trip. if you like how the Trip tracks, may wanna check out the Team, since it has a similar fin configuration, same continuous rocker too (just a little bit more rocker that the Trip).. if i were looking for a new board right now, i'd check out the new Murray: continuous rocker, but tons of it!

... thats not a Trip in his picture, but I can't figure out what it is?!! & at current point in time hes not quite in a powerslide, the back edge of the board is still pretty deep in the water, its a pretty wicked cut-back though!

Trip is an AMAZING board... i've always wanted to try an Omega also.

Naw, its a powerslide. I'm just so fat I sit low in the water. :-) Sharp eye on the board, I was actually just trying out a buddies board for a run, I didnt even remember I was ridin it until you pointed it out. If I recall, it was a LF balance. I recall not liking it very much either. Could have to do with the length, I ride the 143 Trip. I love it, I'm not so sure I wont just get a new one of those!

AK4life: thanks for the tips, maybe I will take a look at those boards.

looks like wakeriderixi has his own pretty decent "powerslide" in his profile!

I tried the Omega once before it was released, and was pretty impressed with it, especially since I was riding in pretty choppy water. I didn't think at the time that it felt loose. I'd say that it would feel similar to the Trip for tracking, but it will have more pop and softer landings. We have one 04 Omega left, and it happens to be a 143. Shoot me an email if you're interested.
