Has anyone ridden behind a 2004 or 2005 Malibu 25 lsv? I have been looking at them and I have not found much info? Good wake for boarding and surfing?????? Too big??? I really like the layout and am getting ready to lake test in tommorrow.

if you want a big malibu boat, definitely demo the 247. the 25 lsv is more of a cruiser, and i believe it's on a diamond hull which isn't nearly as good for wakeboarding as the wake hull the 247 is on. let me disqualify myself by saying i have no first hand experience riding behind either, but whenever the 25 lsv passes us on our lake, the wake looks big, but way too rounded. plus, the onboard toilet on the 25 lsv is just weird. the 247 is also supposed to have the best surf wake out there. IMO, supra and malibu have the market cornered for 24 foot and over wakeboard boats

I agree that the toilet is weird... I am on a big rough lake. (Lake Travis) In texas and I want something very comfortable.

i'd imagine the 247 can't be too much worse than the 25 lsv in chop, but i'm not sure. i do know the freeboard on the 25 lsv is HUGE, so that would make rough water riding more comfortable for sure

a friend has the 25lsv. The freeboard is huge it does not feel like a wakeboarding boat. with those high side walls you cant really see out and around the boat as well. The wake is huge and wide. i personally dont like wakeboarding behind it but thats just my opinion. i would go for the 23lsv it is much better for boarding and surfing IMO and is still has a really spacious interior.

I'm pretty sure the toilet allows you to write it off your income tax. Not a bad feature.

How does that work to write it off on your taxes??? That would be an added bonus!

mplv said "get an X80," so maybe you should just go with that.

a boat with a toilet counts as a second home. You can write off the interest. Thats why you see toilets in boats such as the lsv and the x80. It helps compensate for the huge price tags. I am pretty sure it has to have internal plumbing, so sorry, you can't add a porta pot to your boat. besides, who wants to come on your boat and watch you take a
