2005 Malibu Waksetter VLX can be had just in that price. Good for both surfing and wakeboarding.

Solid choices from Harold.

One thing to look for is getting every option you want. Shouldn't be too hard to do.

Things like: stereo, perfect pass, ballast, etc get costly to install and you should be able to get those things already installed.

Keep us posted!

Is that an Avalanche? If so, I would recommend that boat, at that price, over the other options, especially for surfing.

The options presented by Howard seem kind of high price to me, esp the tige at 36... You should be able to get an 04 Tige 22 for high 20s... Do some homework on that Centurion, they're good boats, wakeboard great for me and surf very well...

That is an Elite V C4/Lightning. It is basically a smaller version of the Avalanche. Very similar layout and hull though. I think those are solid boats. I don't know for sure but the surf and wakeboard wakes shoudl be similar to the Avy but maybe a little smaller or harder to build. Still good though. For boarding the boat won't need much weight.

Awesome boat. The tower is way better then whatever they put on stock. The only issue is you may need to install a ballast system. I think tige was still convinced their boats didn't need ballast at that time. The boat looks great though.

Where are you? Are you in Portland? I saw the Active Water Sports has a few boats in that range as well. Give Gregg Waters a call over there..... 503.643.5018

It will be a lot easier once you start test driving them. You'll notice the differences and you'll definitely have some front-runners. Good Luck. You're in a super fun price range, there are plenty of boats out there for you to consider at $30k.

I think they had an MB and a Malibu in that range. They may have more, but that was off the top of my head....

The boat is priced right with the options it has.The falcon is huge on the inside and has as much room as a lot of 23ft boats. It will need a ballast upgrade to get the weight needed for surfing. I have the same boat with a ton more options. We love it does everything well with the right set up

They don't make boats anymore correct.

I really like Calabria's. That is the ProV2 which is actually a 19.5" or 20' boat. The boat is huge inside though, especially for that length. The bow is small but the cockpit is large. It has a great base quick fill ballast system. For surfing you are going to want to add 750's or so in the back lockers. They are somewhat low profile compared to newer boats. Looks like the boat is loaded with ballast, trim tab, PP, tower, racks, bimini, etc... I had a 2004 calabria and thought the fit and finish was pretty damn good. It feels like a luxury boat to me. I think at 30k plus 1000 to install dual rear surf ballast and you have a great, newer wakeboarding/surf boat.

I really like calabria, the pro v is a bad ass boat especially in terms of space vs length. somehow they made a 21 foot boat feel like 23 and many owners think the boat is actually 23' long because of the swim platform being included in spec. I came close to buying a brand new left over 2007 in 2008 and it was 32k so i'd say anything used for the same $ is way overpriced. I think a lot of people overpaid for that boat right before the collapse and that leaves the used market today, overpriced for that boat imo... I understand the used market has gotten stronger though so its ultimately worth what someone thinks is fair and will pay for it.
