Just got my platform for my lill Sea Ray. I gotta give the guys at swimplatforms.com a big thumbs up. I got it today and it is more than I expected. perfect match to the factory color and diamond texture on top. Nice thick glass and gel. fully moulded to the hull and very nice 3 rung ladder that mounts under the platform. I am installing it tomorrow night and hope to get some on the water pics and see how it performs this weekend. It should make putting on the board much easier for most and keep kids from falling on the outdrive. So all the I/O guy that need a platform don't hesitate to call these guys. You really do get what you pay for.

Which model do you have? For some reason i thought all sea rays had the fixed platform.

I have a 2004 180. It has a little moulded one but it is kinda useless. I got the platform about 90% installed tonight. Gonna make a huge difference. It is so sturdy, I would say it is better built than the factory ones I have seen.

I also will vouch for swimplatforms.com - I had them make one for my last boat (1996 Crownline). It was the best addition to my boat. I live near them and had them install it as well. I also had them add a second ladder - that was well worth it too.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the platform? We're looking to get a runabout similar to yours and want the kiddos to stay clear of the prop. I know the platforms don't make it impossible to get hurt, but they seem to make it less probable. If you don't want to say how much, that's totally okay! Thanks for any info!

Actually just got a quote from these guys as we are considering adding a swim platform...good to hear high recommendations. Fyi...our quote was about $1100 plus shipping for our I/O

I was able to get what i think is a good deal. But for a boat like mine the Shipped price would prob be close to $1500.00. I never feel like a product is more than I expected but with this I really did. We always are very carefull about the outdrive but this was cheaper than the Axis A20 I tried to talk my wife into. With the outdrive in the down position it is about 1 foot under the platform.

How much did you guys pay? I would love to put one on my boat... Also what the story with the circle cutouts in the center?

The hole is for air and water to flow through and off of the platform. We have used it a couple times now and it is a great investment. My wife and son really agree that it is much safer and it makes hanging out in the back of the boat much more enjoyable. The price is different for every platform but well worth the price. I would not hesitate to buy another or send someone to this company.
