Come on people! You're giving me a heart attack here!! Tige Boats was generous enough to donate a beautiful 2010 Z1 wakeboard boat and with 30 hours left in the auction we've only got a bid of $32,610 for this thing??? That is sooooo wrong! I'll buy it at that price!

Please help us out and pass the link to this auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310184460059), or even the link to all our auctions (http://shop.ebay.com/wakeworld/m.html), along to anybody that you think might be remotely interested in bidding. PLEEEEEEEEEEASE help us to take advantage of this opportunity to help as many kids as possible by raising money for Toys For Tots!!

Thanks for your help!!

Wow. That is too cool. What a great way to get in a new boat this spring. That boat will have the extra good karma option too!

Wow I wish I could help out on that one. What a great looking boat. I wish I didn't have to wait another year to get mine. Sorry that it isn't getting more money. I'm sure someone is just waiting for the very end just like all ebay auctions.

I'd love to put a bid in on that boat, especially for that price! Just can't pull the trigger unfortunately.

Did that really just go for 33k?! Someone out there got a steal.

Wow, bummer. Wasn't this only like $1k (or less) over the starting price?
Old     (dirwoody)      Join Date: Apr 2003       12-02-2009, 12:23 PM Reply
I'm really wishing I was in the market for a boat, I'd have bought that thing in a second, or at least pushed the price a lot higher

I was just sure that there would be a couple last minute bidders show up. Wish it would have brought more for the Toys for Tots but someone got a killer deal on their new Christmas present.

"The featured boat does not include a tower, upgraded color options, stereo or other available options. This model can be upgraded for additional cost as negotiated between the buyer and Tigé Boats, Inc. Buyer will pay shipping if they choose not to accept the factory-direct delivery package, tax, title, license, upgrades, options and related fees."

How much extra is the tower and stereo?
Old     (dabell)      Join Date: Apr 2007       12-02-2009, 1:52 PM Reply
Which tower do you want? The Alpha Z tower is something like $8k for it while the E-tower is much cheaper.

The stereo upgrade could go somewhere between $4500

don't quote me on this. I don't work for Tige and am out of touch with prices on the new boats. Just an educated guess here.
Old     (highrock)      Join Date: Apr 2008       12-02-2009, 4:00 PM Reply
The alpha z is really $8K? I was guessing to put a decent stereo, tower, racks, bimini, stainless package, and ballast you would be looking around 10-15K extra and have a pretty good boat. So somewhere around $45 total for that boat which is going to come in at about dealer cost on the boat.

33k in toys is still quite a bit

Did someone on WW win get it? I hate you if you did! I wish this wouldve happened 6 months from now!

Nick - I believe TFT only gets what was made over the cost from Tige. So, if Tige said it was $32,000 and it sold for $33,200, only $1,200 goes to TFT.
Old     (highrock)      Join Date: Apr 2008       12-02-2009, 6:56 PM Reply
Yeah its only the $1,200 over 32K that TFT gets. Which is still a good amount of money, just lower than most would have expected.
Old     (chpthril)      Join Date: Oct 2007       12-02-2009, 7:57 PM Reply
That's $1200 more then any other boat manufacturer donated $.02

^ true true.
Thanks Tige!

i guess i must have been drunk thinking they "gave" the boat.

I would have assumed the boat worth more as a tax write off than to offer it minus costs.

A big Thanks for to everyone who bid on the Tige Z1. I am really glad this is going to a good cause like Toys for Tots. If anyone was wondering the highest bid was from a family in our home state of Texas. Thanks to everyone who post on WakeWorld we value your input. Happy Holidays

That was a pretty cool deal of Tigé especially since boat manufacturers have had to deal with some tough times.

Like someone said earlier, whoever bought that boat definitely has some good karma in it.
Old     (mike2001)      Join Date: Feb 2008       12-03-2009, 11:00 AM Reply
Wow, no one should come on here and try to minimize Tige's contribution, unless you've given more to the cause and I'm sure you haven't.

Like matt said, manufacturers probably aren't doing as well as they'd like, so it's nice to see a company step up and help a worthy cause.

I was looking at the auction and it started at $32,500 so that means with a sale price of $33,100 Toys for Tots only got $600. And I agree 100% thats $600 more then any other manafactureer did, or at least that we know off? (I mean perhaps the other manafactureers might have put a cash donation in the mail for toys for tots?) But cool on Tige's part and if I was replacing my boat I'd give them a look and they were never on my radar before!

Again I state... I could not bid.

So does this mean that next year there may be an all white RZ2 wakeworld boat with the pro ballast system???? Tige did step up and support wakeworld. Just being nosy.
Old     (wakemikey)      Join Date: Mar 2008       12-22-2009, 9:04 AM Reply
As far as I heard they DONATED the boat - NO manufacturer got ANY money for any items. All $33k went to Toys for Tots.
Old     (wakebrdjay)      Join Date: Apr 2008       12-22-2009, 9:32 AM Reply
Tige got $32,000.00 of the bid, they did not donate the boat.
Old     (wakeworld)      Join Date: Jan 1997       12-22-2009, 9:37 AM Reply
Yes, it was a low reserve price on the boat. That's the only item that had a reserve. The reserve was $32,500, so somebody got a screamin' deal. Not sure why it wasn't bid higher. I know that I would have gone as high as $35,000 if I could bid on my own auction. The only thing I can think is that people were a little sketched that some guy from WakeWorld was making promises about delivery of a boat on behalf of Tige. I'm thinking we would have had more luck if we had listed it as Tige Boats. Oh well, live and learn.

Did y'all see the video we just posted of the toy buying and donating experience?

David that video was awesome good to see you and your young crew out giving I took my twins to Metroplitin Ministries yesterday with a van full of toys. We on this board are all very lucky most have luxury items that cost as much as some homes. Some of us some real NICE size homes.

I'm very impressed with Tige for stepping up to the plate. I'm a Supra guy at heart, but that was really cool of Tige to support toys for tots like that.

dave i think the short notice of the boat being available for the tft auction is what hurt the price. perhaps if more notice that the boat was going to be available for auction then more ppl would have bid. im assuming you didnt know until last minute but if next year something like this happens the sooner we know the better this way bidders have time to come up with monies/loans etc. i put the first bid on the boat but was a little skeptical since i didnt have time to set up my finances prior to doing so.
anyway i got my wakeworld gear in the mail today, thanks!!
