Any thoughts on what to check out first? I've never greased the steering cable so that maybe be a start.

I had the same problem in my 05 LSV. The first two years the steering was really light i could flick the wheel and it would spin all the way to lock. Now just this last year it was really tight. On the end of the year service the guys at Tinus in Oconomowoc, WI checked it and said it was all normal wear so they just greased it. They said there was no problems though. I like it a bit more, it doesnt vibrate on take offs and you can let go of it when moving without it whipping around.

You can install a zerk if you are very competent with a drill and a burr. Otherwise it is new cable time. I prefer the Morse cables over Teleflex.

Nope, not very competent here! So I can't grease the cable? I have to replace it already?

Don't mean to hijack but does the cable have to be replaced if steering is stiff only when under heavy loads or will greasing be sufficient?
