Starting to look for my first boat and just discovered my CU doesn't offer Boat Loans, Can anyone recommend any loan companies to me? Also any other boat buying tips would be great!

home equity loan is the best idea. Are you buying new or used?

Go to keybank.com . They do recreational loans.

I am not sure of your situation. But if I were you I would go ahead and talk to a loan officer at your credit union. If you have a good relationship with them they would probably make an exception. I would try that first. If they won't and cant give you a good reason I would take my business elsewhere.
