Riding a Hyperlite State 140, big 3 stage rocker with aggresive edges. I want to go to a continous that is a little quicker, forgiving on landings, and releases cleaner off the wake than my board but still edges hard like mine.

3DS?

LF?

O'Brien?

CWB?

What's close to what I am looking for based on your experience?

By the way....6'1" and 170ish....Advanced Novice?? Is there such a thing?

3ds. quick, soft landings, 2.6" abrupt continuous rocker. locks down on edge, even w/ .8 pwings. 6'2" 195 on 139 and i love it.

i hear the new o'b natty is sick tho. rides higher (should be faster) than most big rockers. maybe worth takin a look

For CWB demo a 07 Faction, rides just like what you are looking for.

The LF shane is somewhat of a hybrid 3-stage and continuous. It is fast and the landings are great. It edges like mad. Releases the same off the wake everytime. Very predictable unlike some abrupt 3-stages that i have ridden (i mean it is very easy to get used to).

RONIX Frontier. I am on 137. It is a continuous rocker with abrupt bent tip and tail to increase pop off the wake. So it too is considered a hybrid but from a continuous rocker line. Board is super fast, carves great on edge and is light. Very little swing weight. Lands softly. All around great riding board. Plus it looks like a piece of wood! From what you described on your "wants" this is a board you should consider too. You can pick that up in a 142 as well.

O'Brien Natural 139. Yes it's a 3 stage, but you can't tell because it's super fast, great pop, lands soft and tracks great.

Plus, it's chrome!! U can't beat that.
