Only $260k for a watch, what a deal. Our society frightens me sometimes.

While I'll never be able to afford to put a $260,000 watch in my collection, I can appreciate the piece of art that this watch is. It is obviously an engineering feat designed by a person who is at the top of their game. I think its awesome we live at a time something like this can be thought of / put into action, and its awesome we live in a place / time that someone can do well enough to buy this....even if it is only the .000001%

Wow that is a crazy time piece. Although I agree i would
Feel more comfortable with a nice house than a wrist watch but it's cool that their is a market for such items. Their was Acura car add out a few years ago. It was people talking about über expensive items sutch as that watch. They described the exotic materials used and how opulent the items were. And then the Add went on to talk about not being excitexed for Overspending. That watch reminds me of the add.
Does a watch need 607 moving pieces? LOL
But like I said I'm
Glad their is a market for sutch items. Because the technology might not ever surface if their was no market for it. Would Bugati ever make the Veryon if they thought they could never sell them. Would MasterCraft ever make a 150k Xstar if they thought they could never sell them. One last thing. I have a friend that collects watches and he never wears them they are as he calls them "investments". He has done very well buying and selling Patek Philippe Watches. Some of them in the 250k range

So, if I switch to Straight Talk Wireless, I will feel like a hip hop mogul who drives a Bentley and wears a watch like this?
