well we been working on this wake all summer, to get it the best we could by not having a vdrive. We actually are really happy with the wave!! ITs plenty long and high to do almost anything on! Its actually cleaner then the pics show. All in all we are having a blast on it! We get identical waves on each side!!!

sweet. you should add more weight will just keep gettin better. both sides should be identical since you have no prop wash to mess it up.

we are going to get like 2 fat bricks to take the place of people weight. We had to much weight in the rear one time the boat wouldn't get up to speed. we think we got the right amount of weight out back. Might play with more weight in the nose.

Hi Brendan...
First of all, Congratulations for that big wave... I own a Sea-doo 210 wake and let´s say that I´am having a little troubble to get a good size wave like yours...

my boat already has from the factory a 600 lb fat sac... I also put a 370 lb in the rear.. But I ´am thinking on getting a 1,000 lb because the weight is not enough and as you know.. Jet boats have very low draft, that means that in order to put them deeper into the water then you have to put a loooot of weight.
So I would like to ask you what how many fatsacs did you put on your boat and how did they where placed.. in the bow or stern etc. etc...

Please give me your best tips so I can get a good wave like yours... Also I will get a bigger board because as you know... Small wake = Bigger board.. so I need that..
I will appreciate a lot your comments and help.
Best regards
Jesus

JF, I sent you pictures as you asked!

Jesus,

We have a total of 4 fat sacs. one up front in the nose of the ski locker, thats 400lbs

Then two in the rear of the boat, 400 on each side. Then we have a 455lb sac on our swim deck that we move from side to side, depending which side we are surfing on. You need about 800-1000lbs on the back side of the boat. I haven't looked at a seadoo, so I'm not sure where you can hide bags. also it seems on the jet boats, you have to turn in a circle to really get the best wave. Thats what we do!

Brendan,

I appreciate your time for typing your comments, honestly they are very useful for me.. I will try my best to have a good wave. I already have a 600 sac in the center of the boat.. And a 370 sac in the very rear of the boat, actually is inside the deck of the boat (it can open and close) so I put that inside..

Now I am getting the Jumbo sac that is about 1,000 pounds that I`am going to put it in the center of the boat and also a front sac of about 400 pounds. I hope this helps.

And I agree with your comment.. It seems that Jet boats like Yamaha`s and Seadoo`s needs to turn a bit in circles in order to have a good wave..
I will post some pics as soon as I got this sacs and go to the ocean to test it... Hope it works!!
Once again thank you and best regards from Mexico.

Jesus

You want most of your weight in the rear corner of the side your surfing on.. so IF you got 600 mid boat, I"d put about 400 up in the nose, and that 1000 on the corner your surfing on. Maybe another 400 on the opposite side.

I'd heard you can't surf the Seadoo 210....very wrong....I put 600# in the ski locker, 750 on rear floor and 600# bag on the rear seat and floor bag, 350 in the rear swim platform storage and one passenger and driver, totalling 2600#'s give or take. The surf wake was primo and no need to drive in a circle, it was best when keeping the line going straight. We were able to surf well over 15 ft off the back of the boat and reel it back in and continue to ride as long as we wanted.

The lip looks a bit washed over, but that is pretty cool. Are you surfing in winter, or from somewhere else?

ya jet boat lips aren't as crisp as inboards.. but they are very surfable! I hope to upgrade to a tige in a few years.
