I can still see them... and they're AMAZING. So strange to see picks from that era in color. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, looks like they're back up. I was just thinking the same thing that color pics from that time are amazing. Probably not as interesting if you were alive and actually saw the world in color but I don't think I've ever seen color photos before the 60's. Or maybe I just don't pay attention, lol.

The dude in #16 looks like Joe Buck - LOL. Interesting how you can tell the difference between the pre-war pics (< 12/41) and the latter. Amazing how much the country changed between 1940 and 1950.

i wonder if people will look at pictures of us in 70 years and think that they are spoiled and say there is no way they could have survived during that time?

I'm not sure. In some ways, it seems we could be very close to that "time" again. Do you think the Romans ever thought the world as they knew it was going to come to an end? I doubt it.

Yeah, most people do not realize that we are one very small step from being right back there. The few actually provide necessity for the many. For most of us, our ability to survive is currency based. Our currency comes from jobs that are mostly BS (not necessity based). We live in comfort believing that there is no way it could happen to us.
