How many of you have seen Endless Summer II (surfing movie)? Tony Finn, a prominent figure in wakeboarding with a surfing background, developed the Skurfer back in the early 80s. With his partner John Hamilton, they started mass-producing these babies for Skurfer Inc. The first models didn't have straps but were added later for more complex tricks and maneuverability. This does indeed look like a Skurfer from the 80s. Enjoy the ride...it was my boyfriend's first wakeboarding experience back in the late 80s. By the way, I like the name, "Banana Death." Upload

Inigo Montoya: Who are you?
Westley: No one of consequence.
Inigo Montoya: I must know.
Westley: Get used to disappointment.

was it gravity sucks, or wake the beast?? if it was wake the beast, the boards were waaaay different. if you have ever ridden a skurfer, you know what I am talkin about.

Yeah even then they were compression molded and much different than the plastic Skurfer. Hell Byerly used to do rolls to revert and 5's on a directional board. Once he and Gator got Flight 69's it was all over...
