i was very confused when i saw this picture from the new surf expo article on WW



i dont think i have every seen a v6 in any wakeboat before

Thats not the MXZ from surf expo... I was there, the boat in that picture is the VLX...

I might be wrong but I think that is a diesel V6 engine.

I googled "S250 V6" and came up with the above. It's a Hyundai Sesall turbocharged diesel V6. I know nothing further than that.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

That was actually from the booth for Hyundai-Seasall, which is a company that makes diesel engines. I meant to get back to them and ask them more about it, but I forgot to do that before I left. It looks like they rigged up a VLX with a V6 diesel. It would be really cool to see what the performance on the water is. It still seems surprising that no boat company has done this yet. I'm probably missing something, but it seems like a good idea.

MC has a diesel in there line up but i think it's only for the salt water or fishing boats.

Last I checked the MC diesel was a $34,000.00 option. I'm sure is it awesome though.

Know kidding. I know diesels are mroe then petrol engines but mayeb 5 or 10k more. 30k on top of what you would pay for lets say an older MCX is crazy.

Here is a link to a boat test.com video for a 2009 MasterCraft CSX 265 SS fitted with twin Volkswagen TDI 225 hp engines. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePCNNZcXGmY I think its a crazy expensive upgrade though.
