First time to Shasta last summer, best wakeboarding trip ever. Coming back this year. Twice.

Awesome. I hope they keep it that way till July. We were there last June and it was full like this. You could tell it had been a while when we saw boat launches that had been built 20 feet below the full level waterline.

Hahaha no I mean the road leading to the boat launch and everything was all built under the full water line. We were following signs to one of the launches and found the entire thing under water.

Shasta was full back in 06. I was there in late May and it couldn't have been more then a couple feet from dam crest (if that).

I hope the weather breaks soon. Were gonna be up there on a couple houseboats on the 9th. So far the weather report has rain through Monday then in the 80s by Thursday. Come on summer! Can't wait.

Anyone coming up to Shasta this summer, stop in and see me on the dock at Holiday Harbor. Our shop is the Shasta Boardshop. It would be cool to meet everyone. I can give you some tips on the best spots on the lake to ride. It is super full right now and there are a ton of coves that are way larger then they normally are.

Bizz, what arm is Holiday Harbor located on?
Old     (bizz)      Join Date: Jun 2008       06-02-2011, 9:15 PM Reply
It is just barely up the McCloud arm. When you are heading up the arm it is on the left hand side right after Bailey Cove.

What are the water temps looking like Bizz?

It has been really inconsistent lately. Hail and rain some days. The sunny and nice the next. Really weird weather. I am hoping to finally start getting some consistency now that it is June. As far as water temp goes. I have seen some people trunk it, but I am riding in a spring suit.

Jarod, we stopped in at Holiday Harbor last Saturday afternoon for gas, didn't know you were there or I would have stopped in. It was pooring down rain but Sunday turned out nice.

Randy,

The weather has been so inconsistent that I haven't been out there full time yet, but starting this weekend I will be out there every day from now on. I was out there today and will be back out at the shop tomorrow. Just got the boat in the water today and it was pouring rain. lets pray the weather turns so we can actually have a summer. Its usually close to 100 Degrees right now. Let me know when you are coming through again and we will all ride or something. Also we are working on the permitting right now to get the waterski show back on Shasta Lake. So it would be cool to have Alex join us and ride in the show.

Can't wait to see the lake full. Packing up tonight and heading out in the morning. Five days on the water. And finally the weather is starting to cooperate

Heading to Shasta tomorrow. I plan to hit the water slide. I believe its up the back bone? What do I look for or can you see it from the water? Does it matter the water is high?
