I'm looking at ordering Wakeboard Pro next week. I've heard there have been issues with some units lately and Perfect Pass is issuing replacement chips for the units that have failed. Does anyone know how I would be able to identify one of these faulty units ie serial #s or manufacture date?

I don't want to order a faulty unit and have to turn around and replace the chip right after.

Just got mine directly from the website, hooked it up myself. Works fine. No problems. Just need to calibrate it. I think the issues are with some of the older models. Buying it new shouldn't have a problem Just talk to PP they are pretty good.

Haven't heard from PP on my issues yet but will ask about chip issues and let you know what they say.

Mine isn't reporting the water temp correctly and is giving me some crazy depth readings too. I think the display is in the wrong units or something.
