What speed gives you the best gas mileage on your boat? Im sure it depends on what boat, prop and load..

3Gs...My gauge shows about 10% more fuel cruising it up to the hang out spot at 3K then it does going between 3500-40000. 3K is at about 28mph on my rig.

If you are wakeboarding with ballast, you really can't worry about mileage as it is what it is.

There are some speed / GPH charts out there on the internet for many inboards - don't have time to search and didn't keep the link, but the main point is that the curve is bimodal, most efficient at idle or just above idle (3-5MPH), and at around 24-28MPH (near 3K RPMs).

If you are wakeboarding with weight, you can gain some efficiency by repropping so you are in the 'sweet spot' RPM at your normal balast and speed.
