Hello, I am new here and just needed some advice on which board to get. I am not a newbie to the sport. I have a 2004 Liquid Force Skimskate 54 right now but I just can't seem to stay up without the rope. One of my problems is that I am not surfing with a huge wake. I have a 1999 Mastercraft Sportstar so it doesn't throw the biggest wake but I have seen people surf with smaller wakes. I just sold my fatsacks so I don't have any to use now. I just put everone towards that side of the boat. I am thinking that a different type of board might help me out. I have been looking at the O'Brien Alias 5'0". Do you think that this would be a good board for me.

IS Red Tide is a big board that everyone can ride and fast enough for small wakes.

Alias is probably too small but haven't seen your wave or how big you are. If you are 100lbs soaking wet then you'd be fine.

I don't think I have a pic of my wake but I'll look. I am about 5'10" and just a little over 100lbs soaking wet.

For a smaller rider the IS Blue might be better. The IS Red is just too big for my daughter.

I love my blue and I'm 150lbs. Very fast.

For your size I'd recommend a fast and cheaper board of CWB Ride. IS Blue would be for other people that might weigh a bit more. If just for you than either would work.

Yeah, I looked at the CWB Ride. I am on a budget so I think that or the O'Brien Alias would be in my price range.
