I have waited 5 1/2 months for a new seat there on there second try to get it right. Now they say it going to cost 250. All I got to say is it better be perfect for that much. I just thought it would be alot less.

I would think an upholstery shop could do all thee seat cushions for that price???
You may see if they can add some snaps for security... did the one that is missing blow out?

You lost the whole thing, right? If that's for a complete cushion with the base / coaming pad and foam, I don't think that's too high of a price, especially from a dealer.

Yes you might get it done for some less at an upholstery shop, but it might look factory and it might not. I don't think an independent shop would charge much less than $150-200 anyway to build the whole cushion from scratch.

I payed $150 to have a cushion re-upolsterd on a friends Super Air passenger seet. It was about the same size as the one your missing. So $250 might seem high but I guess its not that far off when you concider you have to match all the diffrent upolstrey pieces and come up with the foam and seet backing

If you buy just a skin from CC, it will cost you about $125. I would get the skin from your dealer and get a local upholstery shop to make the foam and the bottom for you. Be sure to use stainless steel staples.

A skin from CC? Isn't that an MB Sports 190, 220 or even an old B-52? I don't think MB sells skins. Just call Jay Freeman or Mike and tell them the deal and they should take care of you.

I was thinking he should buy the skin from his dealer, which would be MB but if they don't sell skins, well, take Red's advise.

TALK TO JAY CONNELLY, sorry I had it wrong in my earlier post, it's not Freeman, it's Connelly! Call him and bypass your dealer!

Artisan, Jay Connelly
Jay is one of the primary threads of MB Sports. His positive attitude and knowledge of the boats helps him in his daily duties as head of Customer Service. He actually helped build the first boat with Mike Brendel. He understands the craftsmanship and more importantly the high expectations of the MB boat owners. It's not an intimidating task, the boats are built so well he sometimes feels like the Maytag repairman.

Tom, I appologize for the in conveince in the process of ordering this cushion. I am no way trying to defer the problems that have accurred, but I did send in the Hull # of your boat with the order to Jay at MB. I for warned you that ordering cushions for that a boat that is over 5 years old can sometimes be very difficult, because the factory does not keep patterns past that time frame. I have put a call in to Jay this morning to see if there is a fix for the color issue. To my knowledge there is only one pearl color that has ever been offered, one possibility is that due to the age of the boat maybe the pearl has faded to a certain degree, so when you put a brand new cushion next to the rest of the cushions the color looks off. Please give me a call at the shop so we can discuss what our options are. Thank you Jay Henke 503.650.5991

Way to step up Jay! Everyone take note, Jay appears to be a good dealer! Everyone should be thankful when they have good dealer. A bad dealer can ruin the boat experiance pretty quickly! Good dealers don't enough props IMO!
