I'd still be using my '97 Super Sport Nautique more, but if I had to choose something to cruise around in it'd be a Riva. Too many beautiful models to choose from, but could be something like this...

Think this would be the one. Still too young to want that classy wooden cruiser

In no specific order:

Wakeboat -
I've always loved this color on the G23

Winter Home -
42-50' Catamaran in the BVIs would be nice ... not to picky beyond that as long as it has AC.... something like so:

For ****s and giggles -
That Van Dutch would work ... or one of the newer 12' wide pontoons if I lived on a intercoastal waterway.

This thread reminds me of how much I love big center consoles and how I will never be able to afford one. ha

My pic was from Feb last winter. Spent Superbowl at Bitterend(that got pricy!) We go once a year. January is our next trip. How did you like the Lagoon? I Like the layouts of them, but we have been getting screaming deals from Voyage so its hard to change. The bad thing about these trips is the thought of sitting on a beach at a resort sounds like it would suck now.

It was alright... we had 6 on the boat so a whole extra cabin for storage which made it feel bigger than it probably actually was, the saloon was well laid out, outdoor space left a little to be desired. The way the table removed was a pain in the ass and getting into the corner seats was kinda wonky. We had the same boat on a trip we did in July and it didn't have AC - that was kinda rough. The lil' breeze boosters help, but the 4x times a night you get a 30 second rain shower becomes a huge pain in the ass.

We booked through Latesail.com and got it at a pretty significant discount by doing it semi-short notice. We're looking booking again for with my brother and what will be his new wife (sort of a honeymoon for them). Like you said though, every other vacation sucks after this. Its just so awesome to have the freedom to go/do whatever you want. Its almost like a camping vibe, but 1000x better because you're on the water.

I think my favorite parts of the BVIs were Anegada and White Bay

We did a monohull on our first trip with no AC. It kinda sucked(as far as being in the Carib. on a boat can), but the sailing was awesome. Love the Soggy Dollar, but if you have not, check out Great Harbor. Corsairs, and Foxys Taboo are cool places. Corsairs is owned by a guy out of Denver that owns a Harley shop. Trellis Bay on Beef Island was also cool, but its right by the airport, so don't spend the night. Of course WIlly Ts on Norman too, but it is starting to get a little old.

For those of you doing the sailings, are you barefoot chartering or chartering crewed? This is one of my dream trips, just trying to find another family to go with us to share the cost.

I've only ever done bareboat ... My first trip was taken with a couple who had done it before. So they had some knowledge and I had been on boats my whole life so it worked out okay. At this point I would feel completely comfortable going with new people. We aren't sailing purests by any means, so if the wind isn't right we'll just motor. When we did Anegada the wind was about perfect so it was easy, but if we take a look at where were going and it would require 4x the time and distance because of tacking - screwing it, motors it is.

Latesail is great for semi-short notice deals, otherwise Afloatbnb.com has lots of captained options for very reasonable.

Huge fan of the Midnight Expresses. Not sure what I'd do with one if I had one though. I'd also take that Hydrasport if someone wants to make a generous donation

The Center Console boats have come along way. Once just a fishing boat now its like they are a crossover go fast boat. Some with nice big biminis. 70-80 Mph over 6 foot seas WOW thats impressive

One of the cool things I like about the VonDutch is the flat surfaces on top. I bet it makes walking around and ontop easy, the bimini is not bad either

^^^ we went to Lake Redinger. It's a very small quiet lake not far from bass lake. It's a flat bottom oasis. Sandy beaches where they beach their boats like the one in the pic above. Gear heads that love the lake and V8 madness. It was cool to see all that HP. I wonder if these boats will fade away as the new old guys that never grew up with V8 jet boats start to get up in age

^^^I grew up around flat bottoms. As a kid, we always had a couple flats in our crew every weekend. No jet boats, no hydros, flats. My home lake is the local "hot boat" oasis and one of my favorite things to do is hang out at Beach Cove and watch the guys run these things. I guess you need a certain appreciation for the things in order to enjoy them. If you've never been 100mph on water in a 19' potato chip, you might not get it.
