I am selling my 1982 Ski Nautique that I have completely redone, as I have purchased a 01 Mastercraft Prostar 205v to accomodate a larger family.

I have posted ads on craigslist, wakeworld, wakeboarder.com, and correctcraftfan.com, and have it listed on ebay.

Any other ideas? Has anyone had any luck with boattrader? They are $55, which seems kinda expensive.

What do you think of my ad? I know I need pictures to show the tower speakers and cover. What about the price?

Unforunately I am in a smaller wakeboard market, Kansas (nothing, but a bunch of bayliners on craigslist). But, I am willing to meet buyer halfway if I find someone out of the area.

Asking $9,995 or best offer, which I think is reasonable with tower, new interior, new paint, strong engine with only 375 hours, tower speakers, $800 sunbrella cover, new floor, plus lots more spent on everything else.

Hey Jason... You shouldn't have any trouble selling that boat. Be patient. There are people on here all the time looking for the 2001's. They're great entry level wake boats that have extremely capable wakes.

The only thing I may add is that you may be just slightly high on your price. I think dropping it a grand is kinda what I'd expect. I'm not trying to say the boat isn't worth it, but that may turn some potential buyers away.

Incidently, I sold mine on Craigslist, but it took about a month.

You will see that I am located in KS as well. I can't get on ebay from work. Post some more pics of the interior and stereo. I MIGHT know someone who is interested.

usedboats.com $40 until it sells, ours sold in a little over a month. Boat trader has great exposure but I think it's too pricey.

yeah, you can list your boat on OnlyInboards.com for 9.95 or 29.95. Check out our testimonials, the site does sell a lot of boats and we get well over 1000 people on the site searching inboards every day.

Guy in Guadalajara Mexico dug up a couple month old post on here of my boat for sale and drove all the way up and bought it 2 weeks ago. Craziness really.

Paul, I emailed you.

I will check out onlyinboards.com, there used to be flipsell or something, but I can not find it anymore.

Thanks for all the ideas.

Jason, I found my X2 on Boattrader.com and sold my I/O on boattrader. I live in West Texas and drove to Wichita, KS to get the X2. So do not discount someone driving a long ways to buy your boat.

My I/O that I sold on Boattrader was 1 year old, so it was easy to sell since the condition was new with a used price. I had 4 phone calls with 2 wanting to buy the boat, I guess $55 is a little steep but it is a national listing. Sold in about one month.

I sold my old outboard boat on boattrader. I initially went the craigslist route but had little interest. The boattrader ad sold it in one week. I really didn't want to spend $55 on the ad because it was only a $2000 boat but I think it was worth it just to get the boat gone. A 2001 probably isn't going to have that problem so I'd at least try the free routes first.

Hi Jason,
I just tried boat trader, onlyinboards.com and craigs list and had 4 buyers in 24 hours off Craigslist, nothing off the others.
I sold a 96 centurion elite in immaculate condition for $17k, maybe your price is discouraging buyers, $10k for a 24 year old boat seems a lot. Being in great condition makes it more sellable, not sellable for more dollars !
Regard
Tony

I drove 10 hours to look at a project 2001, so I could restore it like yours. It was a piece of I turned around and left.
