sorry if this question has already been asked. I couldn't find it.
My husband and I want to buy a monster tower for our bayliner 2050 (go easy on us, it's our first boat and we don't got the $$$ for a real wake boat). My husband is great and can do the install, but I'm worried about it damaging the boat. Do we have to build it up or anything on that boat. Anyone else installed on the same boat? What was your experience.
Thanks for your help. I've learned so much from these boards. We are new to wakeboarding, just this year, and we are pretty much hooked. Just trying to find the time and money to upgrade everything.
Thanks

You need to find were you are going to mount your tower.Try and keep a nice flow with the windshield. You will ethier mount it on top or on the side of the fiberglass.Where ever you decide I would take atleast 1/2 inch wood cut it,bevel, rout it what ever it takes to get close to the same contour or shape as your hull.Fiberglass all around it to keep it secure drill holes and your ready to mount good luck.

When you are ready to mount he tower to the boat, it is nice to have a few extra people around to help hold the tower up. You can also download the mounting instructions from the Monstertower.com web sight.

The people at Monster are great so if You have any ? give them a call.
I've installed three monster towers and it takes about three hours and it's really easy.
If Your boat is a run about make sure the window will clear the front leg of the tower when You open and close it. Also measure everything twice before drilling and make sure You run Your drill in reverse when drilling all holes so it wont chip the gell coat.
Have fun

We have lots of customers with Bayliners so it's no problem to add one. All tower companies that focus on the aftermarket have lots of customers with Bayliners so there are many out there.

Do plan on reinforcing the deck under where you are going to mount the bases. You can add fiberglass to build it up or if it's flat it that area it's a lot easier to use something like 3M 5200 Marine adhesive and add wood underneath.

Have your husband look through our instructions at http://www.monstertower.com/support.html There is a great list of all the tower builders at http://www.worldwakeboardcouncil.com/links.html and you may find some additional manuals to give you some ideas as well.

If we can help give us a call at 877-77-Tower

Just put one on a friends 2050. It worked out great. We used 5/8" exterior plywood under the deck and filled between the plywood and the deck with a marine epoxy filler (the real thick kind). The whole thing took about 3 1/2 hours and neither one of us had ever done one before. It looks good, is completely silent and they are enjoying the hell out of it. Good luck!
