i tried to put up a vid i made on facebook with a song from limewire and it was immediately taken off due to copyright. is it because i didn't purchase the song or is with just using any song in general. how do some of u guys put up facebook vids with songs and not get them taken off

Most of the time its because they dont want to be responsible for the song being on there site. It has nothing to do with how you got the song. Try a different song? They normally have a list of okay stuff

it didn't give me the option to pick another song. as soon as it was processed i got a notice that said ur vid has been taken off

Yea you gotta change the song and then re upload, it isn't like YouTube where you can swap the audio.

It's happened to me probably 5 times and it's super frustrating.

try uploading to a vimeo account instead and then linking to facebook...

Facebook even deleted my video app from my page for a while. but now I just have a new one lol. but Im still uploading all my stuff to vimeo 2.

did you give credit to the artist and list the band/album/song? If you forgot during your video edit just add it to the description. I've contested youtube by adding that in the video description and won. You should always try to give credit to those that did the work, then your not really in any violation unless you try to sell it, then you may owe a small contribution to anything you make from it.

Its not a must but I usually do it. I kinda like not having to write it out all the time after Im done editing a video. plus yeah Im not sellin them so Its just for self and vimeo use.
