Hey guys Im a beginner wakeboarder thats new to this forum. I need some advice on purchasing a new wakeboard and bindings. Last summer was my first year wakeboarding. I am 5'10" and about 175 lbs. I currently have an Obrien Clutch 137 board and Obrien Access bindings. I am looking to spend about 700-800 on a new board and bindings. I want something nice but at the same time something that will be fairly easy to ride. I want to buy either Obrien or Hyperlite as these are the easiest for me to purchase in my area. What setup do you recommend?
Do you want a hybrid or behind the boat board? I would suggest a 139 or 140 for your weight and height. FYI If you buy online you can get better deals, like the outlet store on evo
If you're interested in Hyperlite, check out the franchise. Really forgiving board, pretty much built for any rider. Saw last years model on evo for pretty cheap.
Here is a link to the board that a buddy of mine road last year and he loved it. He had the system bindings on it and was really killin it out there. Im not much of a hyperlite guy so can't really suggest much besides what i hear from friends. http://www.evo.com/outlet/wakeboards...board-2013.jpg
