I'm reading the instructions and just want to make sure I got it right: "leave the salt away in your engine until the next time you use it and the salt water will rinse it away"

Is that correct??

yep. flush it for a few minutes until the salt away has a change to go the whole way through your engine. then shut off the motor off.

the salt away will protect the engine from salt damage until next time.

I always flush with fresh water for about 10min, the switch to the salt away for a couple min then stop. You want to leave the salt away in the engine.
