What a dirty sl*t. Normally my boats sits 5-6 ft above the water. This was a few hrs after the storm hit. Pretty damn close. The boat was strapped to the lift and the lift strapped to the dock. I never imagined the water would be able so high.

glad nothing happened. however, irene was a weak storm. i do feel bad for those who's property was damaged and also those who perished, but c'mon. no need for all this coverage on the news.

Looks like mother nature sent you a warning. Next time trailer it inland. I'm glad everything turned out alright.

I happen to have a used one for 500, will serve your purposes just fine. Had a 23ft Epic v drive on it. Ziemann.

Also, if you the water came up above your boat; with it tied down, it would swamp the boat. Probably do better with insurance if the boat disappeared or washed up somewhere else. Always trailer when in doubt.

I was pretty sure that ithe water wouldnt come up high enough to lift the boat. I was more worried about a wave knocking it off the cradle. @fred where is the trailer located? Hows the condition?

in/around Houston, TX and a little rough. Still solid, has some holes, to be honest. Can be patched up. I bought a new aluminum to handle the salt water better. Has clean title and good tires. Boat buddy bearings, 4 disc brakes, non adjustable bunks, bunks are still solid, no rot. Will serve the purpose of pulling a boat out and the occasional trip.
