Couple general questions (Audio, and misc wiring)

Getting ready to finish wiring my audio set up. I want to make sure i not doing anything that will lead to engine noise. So i have my power and ground cables ran. Now its time to run my speaker wire and rca's.
My questions are:
1)Can i run my rca's and speaker wire next to each other? Or would it be best to run my speaker wire by my power cables and then run my rca's seperate?
2)I need to find some resonable priced RCA's. I need to run a set from HU to EQ, then from EQ to Tower speaker amp, Eq to Cabin speaker amp, and finally EQ to sub amp. Anyone have any suggestions on a good set but not high priced.

1) Always run all wires as far away from one another, this will keep unwanted RF noise out.
2.) Just get some mid level priced rca's, paying the extra for the top of the line monster cables will not be noticable. Purchasing online will save you a ton... Good luck

Replying to that comment, could you give me more detail. What your saying then is no one wire should run next to each other making in nearly impossible.

I just need to know if i can run rca's next to each other and if i can run speaker wire right next to rca's

I have kunkonceptz rca's and have had no trouble and no noise issues.

I use Knu Konceptz Karma cables (probably over 100' in total on my boat). They work great as long as you do not pull on the wire trying to unplug them. Then ends plug into amps very firmly, a friend pulled one of the ends off one of mine one time when he was unplugging the patch cable running between our boats. Since them I don't use my knu konceptz cables between boats any longer. The twist in the cables tends to minimize noise induced by power wires near the RCAs.

In general you can run speaker wires with power or RCA's but you need to keep power wires and RCA's seperated by at least a foot in parallel runs.

If your runs from the eq to the amps are long then you'll definately want to use good rca's. I decided to mount my amps under the drivers side closed to my eq. This way I dont have to run rca's and power wires near each other and i'll have short runs for my rca's.

I think I have the Karma cables also. I just got whatever the was best cable he had at the time.

One more question guys. My boat has 6 cabin speakers. All the wires run into 2 different harness plugs. Then a plug comes out of each with 4 wires on each front +- and front +-. The other plug has Rear +- and rear +-. So that means the rear harness plug is reducing from 8 wires to 4. I hope that doesnt sound too confusing but its the best way i could explain it. So my question is how will this effect running the wires to my amp and my ohm load. I have a kicker 5 channel and am running 6 4 ohm speakers. Can someone tell me what to do about this. Sorry if this is such a newbie and stupid question

RCA's should be ok when running next to speaker wires, the biggest is keeping power away from the RCA's, try to keep them a few inches away from one another( if possible). Should you hear interference/engine noise cable placement will have to be evaluated.

RCAs can be near speaker wire, though not ideal, but keep both your RCAs and speaker wire away from the power, and cross them at 90 degree angles where necessary.

Any twisted shielded RCA is as good as any other (I'd bet my boat on it), so just pick up a set with gold plating down at your radio shack.
