A little advice needed for a stereo rookie doing a stereo overhaul.

I'm planning on replacing most/all the stock components of the sounds system in my 04 SANTE over the next couple years. The question is where to start this year? Tower speakers, in-boat speakers, amp/sub?

I'm thinking about starting with some Pro-80's for the tower. I'll have to check the stock kicker amp to see if they'll run them. Is this where I should start anyway?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Amps and sub/subs are the heart of the system, appropriate batteries and maintainer also if needed. Thats where I would start.

I started with
batteries and charger
amps
appropriate size and quality power/ground wire and speaker wire
sub
ported sub enclosure in a box that is designed and tuned to the specs of the sub (sub enclosure is more important than the sub)
and finally speakers

Got it. sub/amp. Sub will need a new location from it's current mount under the passenger seat storage. Most people go to the kick panel under the drivers seat but there's a lot of stuff to get out of the way (heater hose, ballast hose, speaker, fuse box etc.) Any other location suggestions.

How about quality/budget friendly sub/amp combos...?
