I am looking for a grille for a 12L7, but i am looking for something a little different that the old kicker grilles. Maybe something that offer a little more protection since it will be in the boat.

It is going in a custom ported box behind the driver's seat of a SANTE.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Jon, these guys have a few designs and the price is not bad. I have the regular grilles and love them. Give them a look.

Grant - I searched this site for a while and could not find the post your are referring to. Do you remember what it was called?

I just bought a 2006 X2 and a 12" solobaric. I want to make a grill that has the X2 logo from the side of the boat, and am trying to figure out how to go about doing that. The speaker will be under the helm, so it is in plain sight. Also, I am concerned with it being kicked. A custom grill maintains the clean look of the 2006 and will help protect the speaker.

Any help is appreciated.

Perfect - Thanks for posting. Where those grills made at Sierra Hobby, the company listed above? If not does anyone know where they were made?

Sierra Hobby can easily make anything like that.

Here's another concept imagine:

and of the grill:

But I may have run into a problem. When I took a picture of another X2 behind the helm, this is what I encountered:

I would imagine it was similar for the X Star - does anyone know if this stuff can be moved? I should figure that out before I spend the $ on a custom grill. It looks like it could be moved and I know the other side is just open fiberglass, so I have to assume it was bolted down here because it was convenient. Can anyone let me know if this stuff can be moved around or over so I could put the sub enclosure here?
