It's been way over-developed recentely. Tons of houses, full of tubers and people that love to power turn. During the week it's OK in the mornings and evenings. Weekends I would stay away if you are serious about riding.

Don Pedro, McClure, and New Melones are really close to Tulloch and usually have far better water.

Luke is right on. Won't go back to Tulloch on a weekend. However we went 3 weeks ago in the middle of the week and it was great. Don Pedro is a good one on the weekends.

we went camping at tulloch last summer and we were extremely dissappointed. we were on a wait list for one of the lake front "cabanas" and we finally got a call. those lake front cabana sites are a joke! they packed those sites so close together that you can hear someone snoring 10 campsites down from you. on top of that, the lake was pretty crowded and we had a hard time finding good water. that was the first and last time we will be going back there. we are going to stick with new melones. we always have a great time when we go there.
